For over 25 years GMMB has partnered with educators and their advocates to improve schools and opportunities for young children, teens and adults. We combine a deep knowledge of the issues with communications expertise to raise awareness and spark the action necessary to improve teaching and learning across America. Our goal is to help give every student a real chance at an education that truly prepares them for college, career and life. We help our clients craft communications strategies, develop messages and creative platforms, build coalitions and bring together the voices vital to drive key aspects of P-20 education reform.

Achievements

Early learning opportunities for all young children

Decades of research show the lasting effects that a high-quality early childhood education can have on a child. A healthier lifestyle. Social and cognitive skills. A more prosperous future for us all. We work with clients, such as the Heckman Equation, to increase awareness of the long-term economic benefits of early learning and spur action to ensure that every child has access to the educational foundation they deserve.

K-12 students learn the skills and knowledge they need to succeed

College- and career-ready education standards and assessments. High quality afterschool and summer programs. Effective use of technology and digital systems. Our clients are working to ensure that all students graduate high school with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful. We support the work of the U.S. Program of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Coalition for a College and Career Ready America, the James B. Hunt, Jr. Institute for Educational Leadership and Policy, the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium and many others focused on improving opportunities for young people.

Greater access to and completion of postsecondary education

We work with clients that understand that access is not enough. Through our work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others, we support efforts to ensure that all students have the support they need to complete a postsecondary degree or credential program.

Lifelong learning opportunities for all

We understand that regardless of age or ability, everyone deserves a chance to succeed. Every day, public libraries provide people with free access to information and communications technology that improves lives. Through our work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we support public library advocacy in the U.S. and globally.
