Award-winning journalist and national media leader to help global clients develop effective social advocacy campaigns in the new media landscape.

WASHINGTON - GMMB is pleased to announce that news industry leader Susan Feeney has joined the communications firm as senior counselor. She brings an extraordinary body of work in broadcast, print, and digital media as well as in-depth knowledge of domestic public policy, national politics and international affairs. GMMB works with some of the world's most recognized and respected foundations, non-profit organizations and corporations on issues and causes that improve lives.

Since 2000, Feeney has been senior supervising editor for NPR's influential flagship programs, All Things Considered and Morning Edition. Along with overseeing the development of top-quality on-air content, she helped usher both programs and their staffs into the digital age. NPR and npr.org have posted record audience growth over the past decade, reaching 27 million listeners and achieving 12 million page views each month.

"GMMB recognizes that the media world is rapidly changing, and understands that its clients need the latest ideas and tools to break through the clutter, boost public awareness and make a difference in people's lives," said Susan Feeney. "I am thrilled to be able to help organizations advance their good work-whether it means communicating directly to small groups of policymakers or uniting groups globally around social change."

Feeney brings 25 years of experience as an award-winning journalist, dynamic manager and strategic thinker. She was executive producer of NPR's acclaimed 2008 presidential candidate debate. Prior to working in radio news, she was a correspondent covering the White House, national politics and Washington, D.C. news for The Dallas Morning News and The Times-Picayune of New Orleans.

"Susan's proven track record inspiring, coordinating and directing large teams to produce dynamic, in-depth and memorable news content will enhance the level of service we can provide to our clients," said Frank Greer, GMMB's founding partner.

Feeney founded The Friends of the Times-Picayune, a national non-profit emergency relief fund for families of the newspaper's staff displaced by Hurricane Katrina. She raised nearly $400,000 and, through greater awareness and coalitional building, generated significant services and support for nearly 200 families.

Feeney was a Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow and also is a frequent university lecturer. She has provided on-air media commentary on a range of public policy and current affairs topics.
