GMMB Congratulates Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s Campaign for Best Campaign Comeback Award

Barbara Boxer, the DCCC and Clean Energy Works also take home awards as GMMB led all media agencies, winning big at the 2011 Reed Awards.
WASHINGTON, DC – GMMB is proud to congratulate Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's 2010 reelection campaign for winning Best Campaign Comeback and Toughest TV Ad at the 2011 Reed Awards. Considered by pundits to be the most vulnerable incumbent in the country in an already anti-incumbent year, Reid won an impressive come-from-behind victory over Republican Sharron Angle despite millions of dollars in opposition spending from conservative interest groups. The Reed Awards are the latest in a series of accolades for the Reid campaign including being named Best 2010 Campaign by the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza.
In addition to Reid, GMMB extends congratulations to clients Barbara Boxer and the DCCC Independent Expenditure, who each took home a Reed award, and Clean Energy Works, who dominated the issue advocacy category winning awards for Best TV Ad, Best TV Villain and Best Newspaper Ad, along with a Best Public Affairs Campaign award for campaign partner, Operation Free.
GMMB led all media agencies with eight victories and 12 nominations for our clients. These honors follow a year in which GMMB candidates went a perfect six for six in their re-election campaigns despite the tough environment for Democrats nationally.
The Reed Awards, presented annually by The Campaigns & Elections magazine, recognize political consultants and public affairs executives for outstanding work, creativity and contributions to electoral politics over the previous year.
