12 in 2012! GMMB Wins Big at the Pollie Awards
Posted on Apr 04, 2012

GMMB is proud to announce that we took home 12 Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants 21st Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony last Friday, including the Campaign Excellence Award for the 2012 International Campaign of the Year.
Every year, the AAPC gives out Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention Pollie Awards to political consultants and public affairs executives for outstanding work, creativity and contributions to electoral politics over the previous year.
This year, we are thrilled to count among our wins five Gold awards, three Silver awards and the Campaign Excellence Award for the 2012 International Campaign of the Year. Along with Abe Dyk and the Mellman Group, GMMB won this honor for our work with Luzlim Basha in his mayoral campaign for Albania’s capitol city of Tirana. The campaign, which one local paper said, “changed Albanian politics forever,” upset a three-time incumbent by a narrow margin of under 100 votes.
Our other winners include ads created for the American Lung Association (ALA), the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACSCAN), the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Montana Hunters and Anglers Action and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
Thanks and congratulations to all of our winning clients for their hard work and much-deserved victories. And a special thanks to the AAPC for the recognition!
