Chrissy Russillo

Chrissy Russillo is a vice president at GMMB. Since joining the firm in August 2000, she has used her media relations and marketing expertise for a number of nonprofit and government clients.

Chrissy supports communications efforts for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s library initiatives, and for the Washington State Department of Health Tobacco Prevention and Control Program.

Previously, Chrissy worked on behalf of AmeriCorps, the United States’ national service program. She helped produce an award-winning television, radio and print campaign to assist AmeriCorps in meeting its largest recruitment goal ever of 50,000 new members.

Chrissy also led efforts to organize and publicize National Adoption Day 2002, a celebration in which courts across the nation opened on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and finalized more than 3,100 adoptions from foster care. GMMB secured feature stories about the importance of adopting children from foster care in both national and local media outlets, including NBC’s “Nightly News,” NPR’s “Weekend Edition,” Fox News, CNN, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press.

Chrissy helped the Council of the Great City Schools create television, radio and newspaper public service announcements that were distributed to city school districts across the nation. She assisted in the creation of an accompanying toolkit that gave school districts the tools they needed to secure donated placement of the PSAs.
