Paul J. Quirk

Paul J. Quirk, vice president, joined GMMB in September 1999. Paul has nearly 10 years of strategic communication experience working on consumer protection, education, foster care adoption, health care and national service issues.

Currently, Paul manages communication support for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in its efforts to improve the quality of health care that racially and ethnically diverse patients receive in the United States. His work for RWJF includes advising a public-private learning collaborative involving nine of America’s largest health insurance companies that have joined together to address racial and ethnic health disparities within their respective memberships.

Paul also oversees the firm’s work for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA), including event and media relations support for National Adoption Day. He manages a team that has garnered more than 240 million media impressions around the Day. He also led the development of a marketing plan aimed at positioning the Foundation as a leading resource on foster care adoption.

Prior to joining GMMB, Paul worked at the Widmeyer-Baker Group (now Widmeyer Communications) in its multicultural communications practice group on behalf of a variety of education and foundation clients.

Paul is originally from Stillwater, Okla., and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a major in political science and a minor in international business.
