| Samuel Lubell
Samuel Lubell, senior policy analyst, has worked at GMMB since November 2003. He has more than 14 years of experience as an education policy analyst, researcher and writer. He is an expert at Internet, traditional and academic research, as well as translating research into products targeted to a variety of audiences. He combines academic training and firsthand understanding of the education world with extensive experience in developing communications strategies and materials.
At GMMB, Samuel works with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's education initiatives. He is responsible for creating news and trends analyses; performing research; writing and editing briefings, reports, articles, fact sheets and other materials; advising on education issues; creating ideas for new media opportunities; and assisting with major projects.
Samuel previously worked at the Widmeyer Group and CommunicationWorks, where he assisted numerous education organizations with researching, writing, editing and promoting reports, books, op-eds and articles. Articles he wrote under clients' names have been published in a range of newspapers and education publications. He also taught traditional, alternative and special education in public, private and religious schools.
Samuel graduated with honors from Harvard University in history and literature. He has master's degrees in history and teaching from Columbia University and its Teachers College, and has completed the coursework toward a Ph.D. in education policy at the University of Maryland. |
