Jenn Kilgus

Jenn Kilgus joined GMMB in fall 2007 as a vice president, bringing more than a decade of experience in public affairs, communications and political strategy to the firm. Currently, Jenn works in Seattle providing communications support to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Pacific Northwest initiative.

Prior to joining GMMB, Jenn served as policy advisor to U.S. Representative Luis Fortuño (R-P.R.), where she worked on No Child Left Behind reauthorization efforts to help turn around Puerto Rico's failing public school system. She also served in the legislative affairs divisions of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). At the State Department, she was a legislative liaison to Capitol Hill for African affairs and worked as a translator for Congressional delegations traveling to France and Luxembourg. At HUD, she served as a principal liaison between department officials and the U.S. Senate Committees on Appropriations and Banking.

Prior to her work at the agencies, Jenn was a lobbyist at Hill & Knowlton. She started her career in the U.S. Senate and volunteering for Congressional campaigns in New Hampshire.

Jenn holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from Mount Holyoke College and a master's in international communication from American University.
