| Karen Gruebnau
Karen Gruebnau, a vice president, has been at GMMB for 12 years. She offers clients a wide range of expertise in advertising, grassroots organizing and media relations.
Currently, Karen oversees branding and communications for the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Walk Like MADD 5k charity walks. Most recently, she managed the launch of The Lancet'sSeries on Child and Maternal Undernutrition at a press conference and panel discussion in Lima, Peru. Under Karen's leadership, an organizing committee consisting of representatives of United Nations agencies and global and local NGOs brought media and political attention to the issue of undernutrition among Peruvian children.
In 2007, Karen coordinated the national field strategy and local coverage activities for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Cover the Uninsured Week and Covering Kids & Families Back-to-School Campaign.
From 2004 through 2007, Karen managed the day-to-day activities and the production of television, radio, interactive and outdoor ads for several statewide advertising campaigns for the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
Karen also has 12 years of experience in traffic safety initiatives, directing and managing national and statewide advertising campaigns and providing strategic counsel and grassroots organizing to clients such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety Campaign.
Karen is a graduate of Albion College with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and communications. |
