| Joshua S. Freed
Josh Freed, a vice president at GMMB, has worked in public affairs and politics for more than a decade. He brings extensive experience in strategic communications, media relations and campaign consulting to GMMB’s clients.
Currently, Josh works on the media consulting team for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s education advocacy group, which focuses on ensuring that every U.S. high school student is prepared for graduation, college, career and life. He also provides strategic communication counsel to the foundation as it plans and implements significant partnerships and activities to reach key stakeholder and target audiences.
Before joining GMMB, Josh worked on Capitol Hill as administrative assistant to U.S. Representative Rob Andrews (D-N.J.) and deputy chief of staff/communications director for U.S. Representative Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), overseeing her national, congressional and Colorado communications portfolios. Previously, he worked on the corporate crisis communications team of BSMG Worldwide and as deputy research director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Josh began his career with SCN Public Relations, advising statewide, congressional and local campaigns on earned media and research.
Josh earned his bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University and his master’s degree in American history from the University of Maryland. |
