| Aimée Segal
Aimée Segal, a senior vice president at GMMB, joined the firm in 2000. With nearly 15 years of experience as a journalist covering politics, education and health, she offers extensive knowledge of the media industry, strategic communications and issue advocacy.
Aimée currently supports the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in its strategic communications planning and media relations operations. In the past, she has worked with a variety of philanthropic, nonprofit and advocacy organizations to craft and implement strategic communications plans, merging message and materials development with results-driven media relations and grassroots and targeted community outreach. Previous clients include the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Southern Governors’ Association, Fannie Mae Foundation, March for Women’s Lives, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
Aimée began her career in journalism covering politics and education in Boston. She has worked for several local television network affiliates in Boston and Washington, D.C., as well as for the CBS News Election and Survey Unit. In 1994, she received a National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences EMMY award for excellence in public affairs coverage.
Aimée received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism and East Asian studies from Boston University. She also studied at Kwansei Gakuin University in Nishinomiya, Japan. She lives with her husband, Allen, and son, Sam, in Potomac, Md. |
