Gloria Johnson-Cusack

Gloria Johnson-Cusack, a senior vice president, brings close to 15 years of international, national and statewide experience in public affairs to the firm. She has developed extensive political and strategic communications expertise while holding key positions in the White House, U.S. Congress, federal and municipal government, and national political campaigns.

Currently, Gloria is helping the Association of American Medical Colleges develop a multiyear, national advertising campaign to encourage more minority students to apply for medical school. She has provided strategic consulting and communications support to United Cerebral Palsy, as well as the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services for its multiyear advertising and public relations campaign to address public health issues such as HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, lead poisoning and emergency preparedness.

Gloria served as chief of staff of the D.C. Office of the Inspector General, director of the Office of Congressional Relations at the Peace Corps headquarters, special assistant to President Bill Clinton and director of public liaison in the White House Office of National Service.

Gloria was a domestic policy staff member for the national Clinton/Gore campaign in 1992 and national director of surrogate speakers in the 1996 campaign. In addition, she served for several years as a legislative aid to Senator Al Gore, Jr. (D-Tenn.) and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton
(D-D.C.).
