Maura Donlan

Maura Donlan is a senior vice president at GMMB. She brings over 20 years of experience in international development, advocacy, project/campaign management and strategic planning to the firm.

Before joining GMMB, Maura served as the director of communications for Turner Enterprises, Inc., where she supported Ted Turner’s day-to-day communications needs. In addition, she coordinated all media relations outreach and policy research related to Turner’s private and philanthropic interests, including the Turner Foundation, United Nations Foundation, Nuclear Threat Initiative, Turner Ranches and Ted’s Montana Grill.

Maura has considerable experience working internationally, having worked with the United Nations Foundation, United Nations Development Programme, and National Democratic Institute for International Affairs in Albania, Angola, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa, where she assisted with the first-ever democratic elections in 1994.

On Capitol Hill, Maura served as a legislative assistant to Representative Edward J. Markey and a policy analyst for the House Subcommittee for Telecommunications and Finance.

Maura started her career in U.S. politics, working as a field organizer for the Michael Dukakis presidential campaign in 1987. She went on to hold positions in the presidential campaigns of Bob Kerrey and Bill Clinton, as well as managing the Markey for Congress campaign in Massachusetts.

Maura graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts and earned a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University.
