Will Taliaferro

Will Taliaferro, a partner at GMMB, brings 22 years of experience in strategic communications, advertising, earned media, organizing and policy support initiatives. He has special expertise in health care, public education and advocacy efforts.

Will currently leads the firm's work for a number of organizations, including the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, American Academy of Ophthalmology, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with the Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Association of America, Chrysler, and Faces and Voices of Recovery. In addition, he has provided strategic communications guidance to organizations such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving, New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services, Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety Campaign, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation, and Justice Policy Institute, as well as a number of state and local political candidates.

For Chrysler, Will helped create two award-winning programs. The first was Fit for a Kid, a free child seat inspection service offered by DaimlerChrysler dealers. The campaign led to nearly 60,000 seats being inspected at DaimlerChrysler dealers. Fit for a Kid won a Silver SABRE award for brand recognition and excellence. In 2005, he helped conceive and implement Road Ready Teens, a program reaching out to parents and their teenaged drivers to help protect young, inexperienced drivers through their high-risk years. Road Ready Teens won a Silver Anvil from the Public Relations Society of America for excellence in public service.

Will graduated from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro with a B.A. in communications. He lives in Loudoun County, Va., with his wife, Courtney, and their two children, Marshall and Meriwether.
