Greg Pinelo

Greg Pinelo is a partner working in GMMB’s Washington and Los Angeles offices. Greg has 17 years of experience in advertising and strategic communications for a diverse group of corporate, nonprofit, national association and political clients.

Greg is a highly regarded political ad-maker. He plays a key role on the media team for Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama. Greg also developed advertising for Jim Webb's upset victory in the 2006 Virginia Senate race and has consulted for many of GMMB's political clients, including Governor Mark Warner of Virginia, U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, and the Democratic Senatorial and Congressional Campaign Committees.

Greg provides strategic counsel for many of GMMB's major clients and progressive organizations, including the Save Darfur Coalition, Motion Picture Association of America, First 5 California, California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, California Endowment, Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation, Alliance for Justice, Defenders of Wildlife, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and Americans United for Change.

Greg is a leading expert in communications on behalf of unions and has developed major campaigns for the Communications Workers of America and the United Steelworkers of America.

A native of Kentucky, Greg received a B.A. from Oberlin College, where he majored in both history and political science and lettered in varsity basketball.
