Goss
Janet Goss, a partner at GMMB, is a seasoned media strategist with nearly 20 years of experience in public affairs and public policy. She has special expertise in health, social justice and education issues.
Janet currently leads the firm’s work for a number of organizations, including the Law School Admission Council, Association of American Medical Colleges, CARE, Fetzer Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Quality/Equality project. In addition, she has provided strategic communications guidance to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Justice at Stake, International Center on Nonviolent Conflict, Global Pneumococcal Awareness Council, Public Education Network, United Nations Foundation, Credit Union National Association, National Women’s Health Resource Center, Southern Governors’ Association, Open Society Institute, Kaiser Permanente, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Faith in Action, International Masonry Institute, Sallie Mae Fund, United Cerebral Palsy, March for Women’s Lives, and Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety Campaign.
Janet is a skilled media trainer, working with clients to increase their effectiveness as public spokespeople for their issues. She has successfully trained leaders of nonprofit organizations, foundations and trade associations, as well as national and state government spokespeople.
Janet joined GMMB after serving as press secretary for the American Public Welfare Association, where she also managed a Foundation for Child Development grant, mounting a national media strategy to promote effective state welfare reforms.
Janet received her Juris Doctorate from American University's Washington College of Law. She is a Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude graduate of Clark University. |
