Account Assistant – multiple positions available
Work closely with top professionals in the field, while working on behalf of Democratic candidates, the environment, children's health, education, civil rights, and the world's largest philanthropic foundations. This position will provide communications and advertising support to a variety of clients. Responsibilities will include administrative support, understanding of billing procedures, database management and client and media relations. The ideal candidate will posses a BS/BA degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, or other related field and a strong interest in public relations, advertising, social marketing or politics.  Applicants should be flexible, have excellent oral and written communication skills, possess outstanding attention to detail, be able to manage numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and have a creative self starting approach.

Traffic Coordinator/Creative Services Assistant
You will report to our Executive Creative Director and Print Production Director, acting as a liaison between Account Management, Creative, Design and Production. The Traffic Coordinator will be responsible for opening jobs, tracking them from start to finish, managing timelines, circulating and routing jobs in the following media: print advertising, collateral, outdoor and event signage. Additionally, this position will also provide administrative support to the Design Group. Responsibilities will also include administrative support, understanding of billing procedures, database management and client and media relations.

The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BA degree and have internship or 1-2 years’ experience with either an ad agency or PR agency. Applicants should be flexible, have excellent oral and written communication skills, possess outstanding attention to detail, be able to manage numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and have a creative self starting approach. Must be organized, have excellent communication skills, be pro-active, positive and flexible. This is not a creative position. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint are essential. MAC knowledge preferred.

Interactive Assistant
You will be Responsible for assisting the Interactive Director in managing all aspects of the Interactive Department, including workflow and personnel. Works with clients, project leaders, and various internal departments to determine and meet/exceed client expectations.  You will schedules kick-off meetings between account team and interactive team. Assist in managing workflow and traffic in the Interactive Department to ensure all deadlines are met. Coordinate with outside vendors for production. Help create budgets/estimates and timelines for interactive implementations.

The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BA degree and have internship or 1-2 years’ experience in communications, public relations, advertising, design or related discipline. Applicants should be flexible, have excellent oral and written communication skills, possess outstanding attention to detail, be able to manage numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and have a creative self starting approach. Must be organized, have excellent communication skills, be pro-active, positive and flexible. Applicants should have working knowledge of computer programs including, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Act and Access. Applicants should have basic design skills, basic knowledge of interactive/web trends and programming (HTML, CSS); Project management skills and strong presentation skills.

Copywriter
3-5 years experience as an exceptional creative talent, strategic thinking, and an understanding of the current and evolving advertising environment. Outstanding print portfolio and solid TV experience required. Mac experience a plus.

Sr. Public Relations Professional/Vice President
Looking for an opportunity to expand your strategic communications, media relations, grassroots advocacy, and leadership skills? Candidates must be able to
  • Provide expert strategic counsel and develop, oversee, and coordinate comprehensive public/media strategies to strengthen awareness of pressing issues and key initiatives among special audiences, including policymakers, stakeholders, and communities of color.
  • Collaborate with dynamic clients, national networks of grantees, and account teams to plan and execute strategic communications activities, including media relations events, grassroots activities, and training workshops.
  • Apply insight and understanding of new and emerging media technology, and the ever-changing print, broadcast, and on-line media landscape to strengthen public awareness of key issues among target audiences.

  • Lead website design and content projects to support broader strategic communications goals.

We are seeking an individual with a solid background in public affairs and media relations preferably in education. Government, political, policy or agency experience, strong leadership skills, and demonstrated success in partnership development are important. Strong experience with ethnic media and community outreach, experience utilizing new technology techniques to maximize communications and outreach are also highly valuable.

Excellent oral and written skills are essential, including the ability to communicate effectively with the client, general public and news media. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, an ability to work under tight deadlines, and success in managing and leading.

We are seeking an innovative leader, manager, and a team player capable of working closely with the client and the GMMB account team to deliver high-quality results. In addition, the ideal candidate will also be able to effectively understand the full services GMMB provides and work closely with members of our public relations/public affairs, advertising, media buying and partnership teams to achieve results.
